Obtaining accurate and timely information about special education issues in Virginia is often frustrating. To address this challenge, the Board and State Special Education Advisory Committee are collaborating to create a grassroots communications network to more effectively and efficiently distribute this information.

The network's formation is particularly timely and urgent. Early this fall, revised Virginia Special Education Regulations will be presented for public comment. The Board and SSEAC want to ensure that their constituents are fully informed of this process and have every opportunity to contribute.

The Board and SSEAC share your concerns about privacy and unwanted correspondence, especially junk e-mail, and will carefully limit their communications to the information you need to be a knowledgeable and effective participant in Virginia's special education system.
